A long time ago this was another painting. But it fell off the canvas.

Well, that was a lesson.

There's a reason for using the right primer, not painting thick oil paint over crayons and then rolling it up. (I knew that.)

Anyway, bummer.

But the pieces looked kind of interesting. So I puzzled them together and embedded them in Dorlands cold wax medium with a palette knife. A hair dryer leveled it out. It was opaque at first, took forever to dry, but it eventually became translucent. And who doesn't like translucent?

I might have to do this on purpose next time. Unless it falls off the canvas again.
